Golden Owl

Ethics

At Golden Owl®, we are committed to maintaining high standards of ethics, integrity, legality, and responsibility across all aspects of our activities, technologies, operations, and professional relationships.

We believe that access to information and intelligence capabilities must be exercised lawfully, proportionately, responsibly, and with respect for fundamental rights, privacy, human dignity, and applicable legal frameworks.

Our ethical principles guide the design, deployment, operation, and governance of our platforms, systems, methodologies, and services. We strive to apply transparent, accountable, risk-aware, and security-oriented practices consistent with applicable laws, industry standards, and operational best practices.

We are committed to:

1. Confidentiality, Privacy, and Data Protection

Protecting the confidentiality, privacy, integrity, and security of information is a core principle of our operations. We apply appropriate technical, organizational, and operational safeguards to protect information processed through our systems.

Client information, operational data, intelligence outputs, and personal data are handled exclusively for authorized and legitimate purposes and are not used for unrelated independent commercial purposes or for training public artificial intelligence models unless expressly agreed in writing.

2. Lawful and Responsible Practices

We conduct our activities within the boundaries of applicable law, regulatory obligations, contractual commitments, and recognized professional standards.

We respect data protection laws, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, cybersecurity obligations, and other legal considerations applicable to the access, analysis, processing, and use of publicly available, licensed, client-provided, or lawfully accessible information.

3. Professionalism, Objectivity, and Methodological Integrity

We seek to maintain high standards of professionalism, objectivity, proportionality, and methodological rigor in our activities.

Our analytical approaches aim to rely on verifiable information, structured methodologies, contextual analysis, and operational safeguards designed to reduce bias, distortion, manipulation, or unsupported conclusions.

Where artificial intelligence, automated systems, or AI-assisted analytical capabilities are used, such systems are intended to support human analysis, operational efficiency, and decision-making processes, and do not constitute autonomous decision-making systems unless expressly stated otherwise. Golden Owl® promotes appropriate human oversight, contextual validation, proportionality, and responsible interpretation of AI-assisted or automated outputs, particularly in situations involving legal rights, compliance obligations, investigations, employment matters, financial decisions, or other potentially high-impact contexts.

Users and clients remain responsible for independently assessing, reviewing, and validating outputs, conclusions, and decisions derived from the use of Golden Owl® systems and services in accordance with applicable law, including, where applicable, obligations arising under the EU AI Act or equivalent regulatory frameworks.

4. Lawful Basis and Respect for Individual Rights

Where personal data is processed, we expect all parties using our systems and services to maintain an appropriate lawful basis under applicable data protection legislation and to respect the rights and freedoms of affected individuals.

Where legally required or operationally appropriate, relevant transparency, information, consent, proportionality, or impact assessment obligations should be fulfilled in accordance with applicable law.

5. Avoidance of Misuse, Abuse, and Discriminatory Practices

We are committed to preventing the misuse of our platforms, technologies, or intelligence capabilities for unlawful, discriminatory, abusive, unethical, disproportionate, manipulative, or rights-infringing purposes.

We seek to apply reasonable safeguards, governance measures, and operational controls designed to reduce risks associated with bias, abuse, unlawful profiling, disproportionate surveillance, or harmful use of information.

6. Security, Governance, and Continuous Improvement

We continuously seek to improve our governance, security, compliance, and ethical practices by monitoring evolving legal frameworks, cybersecurity standards, technological developments, and operational risks.

Where applicable, our operational practices may align with recognized frameworks and principles related to information security, governance, resilience, accountability, and risk management, including standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, ENS, and equivalent best practices.

We recognize that ethical responsibility is an ongoing process requiring continuous evaluation, proportionality, accountability, and adaptation to evolving technological and legal environments.

At Golden Owl®, ethical conduct is not limited to compliance obligations; it forms part of our operational philosophy and our commitment to providing responsible, lawful, security-conscious, and trustworthy services.
